The Agricultural Business Management program prepares students for careers in sales, service, production, management, marketing, and research in Agriculture. Hawkeye's 400-acre Farm Laboratory utilizes new and up-to-date facilities and equipment to provide students hands-on experience with the latest production and management techniques.
Hawkeye's Agriculture and Natural Resources program is a Lead Partner College with AgrowKnowledge. This partnership of colleges, universities, and industry is working together to support and enhance Agriculture Education and the workforce being trained for the agricultural industry.
Students in the Agricultural Business Management program learn how to apply new technologies such as global positioning systems (GPS), data collection equipment, and geospatial mapping software to the agricultural field.
An associate of Applied Science degree takes two years to complete. However students may apply for a General Agriculture Diploma after one year.
Hawkeye Community College’s Ag and Natural Resources Programs have articulation agreements with Iowa State, Upper Iowa University, and Northwest Missouri to transfer both general education and technical credits. Many other state and private colleges and universities accept up to 65 credit hours. For more information, contact a program advisor.
