The Surgical Technology Prep program prepares students to be a part of surgical teams in a variety of environments, especially hospital operating rooms. The program is a consortium between Hawkeye Community College and Kirkwood Community College. Students are able to take the general education courses through Hawkeye and enroll in the surgical technology classes via the ICN through Kirkwood.
