The Respiratory Care program prepares students for employment in the treatment, management, and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system.
Students learn through classroom instruction, laboratory experience, supervised clinical experience at local and regional hospitals and other health care settings, and an eight-week practicum (internship) at a health care facility.
The Respiratory Care program holds a Letter of Review from the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.
The Respiratory Care program runs four semesters and two summer sessions. Classes begin in the Fall semester. Students may start their general education courses in any semester.
Students in the Respiratory Care program interested in continuing their education should visit with a program advisor.
