Award - AAS

"Hawkeye Community College provided an excellent foundation for my nursing education. I have been able to move into to each new job in my career with confidence, knowing that I had a strong foundation on which to build. The education I received at Hawkeye has allowed me more success than I had thought possible. I have been a charge nurse, house supervisor, nurse manager, case manager, staff development facilitator and most recently, a nurse educator. If I had not had such a positive experience at Hawkeye, I would not have had the confidence to go on and obtain my BSN and MSN. I applaud Hawkeye and its faculty and staff for allowing me to be successful. "

"Hawkeye Community College was a great experience for me. My education here inspired me to pursue additional educational goals. Without the strong foundation received in the LPN and ADN programs at Hawkeye, I would not have been prepared for the rigors of baccalaureate and masters nursing education programs. My time here at Hawkeye continued to build my passion for the profession of nursing and my love for nursing continues today. My love for nursing, which was nurtured during my stay at Hawkeye, is one of the main reasons I am committed to educating future nurses today. Hawkeye Community College nursing programs provide excellent opportunities for students to reach all of their future nursing education goals as it did for me."
