A Student Ambassador assists the Admissions Office with a variety of tasks including speaking with prospective students and parents about Hawkeye, helping with Experience Hawkeye visit days, giving tours to prospective students and parents, participating in student panels by answering prospective students’ questions, and helping with large group visits to campus. This position also helps with general office duties such as restocking materials, filing, answering phones and data entry. Some heavy lifting may be required. Students applying should have strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work with small and large groups of people. Dependability and flexibility are a must.

Assist Farm Manager and Faculty with daily care of livestock and building maintenance. Duties include but are not limited to daily feeding and treatment of animals, cleaning and maintaining buildings, providing farm tours, assisting with animal science classes. Also required to alternate weekends and holiday breaks. Applicants must live at, or close to the Farm Lab, be able to work in extreme weather conditions and lift at least 50 pounds. Performs customer service duties and monitors gallery visitors and works of the art at Hawkeye's Van G. Miller Adult Learning Center campus. This person will also be responsible for securely opening and closing the gallery at the beginning and end of each shift. Other duties vary according to the needs of the gallery and at the discretion of the Arts & Culture Coordinator, in providing services to visitors, students or artists. Student can take on one or two kinds of tasks, depending on their skills and interests. 1) Video production and editing. Professor will provide audio lectures in Philosophy and Ethics and will work with the student to plan and create video elements to accompany the lectures. Requires basic video editing skills and creativity. 2) Assisting with the creation of a Mental Health Support website for students at Hawkeye. We have all of the materials and sources for the website. We need someone to create and organize the materials for the site. Basic web design skills a requirement.
