We will ask for your ID #/name when you are requesting information specific to your financial aid award, otherwise your identity is anonymous to us.
Cyber Security
With increased national reports of identity theft, and data and cyber security breaches, please note that Hawkeye takes every mandated step and more to secure your data. When texting or chatting to our Financial Aid office, please do not use any personally identifiable information such as social security numbers. Always include only your legal name and student ID number.
Email communication is preferred from your Hawkeye email account in order to be able to give you more detailed answers about your sensitive financial aid information and status, if appropriate.
In some cases, we will need to ask you to come in person, and will not be able to respond to a parent or a spouse if a FERPA release form is not on file.
