What prepares a good web developer for the working world?
Hands on experience!
Students will gain hands on experience in web design from the very first class. Students will develop websites in a variety of different ways.Students learn multiple programming languages, database applications, and e-commerce strategies focused on "customer enabled" and "data driven" web sites. They also learn the techniques needed to incorporate multi-media into a web site.
How does a Web Design student show off their work?
With a Web Portfolio!
This hands on experience allows each student to build a portfolio to use after graduation. With the portfolio in mind, many of the projects in the program are geared towards a portfolio piece bringing the student closer to a job after graduation.
What are an important skills for Web Developers?
Teamwork skills!
Teamwork is another important factor. Web site projects today are done by teams rather than the individual. Teamwork skills are important to have; therefore, many of the projects within the Web Program are teamwork based, but not all of them.
