MON7 JOB SUMMARY: This individual reconciles purchase order and reports to general ledger. Assists with the maintenance of client account receivable and contracts. Assists with correct allocation of payments to specific grant and program years. Assists as needed with pulling information for state auditors. Prepares journal entries to balance accounts. Assists with registration, student records and ensures accurate recordkeeping and retrieval. Enters and maintains continuing education training database – daily maintenance required; must be timely. Ensures correct allocation of payments to specific grant and program years. Assists with information for continuing education state reporting. Prioritizes and completes work accurately and in the required time frame. Assists with billing and tracking outstanding accounts receivable balances. Performs duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in accounting and two years experience in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of professional accounting practices. Experience with Microsoft Office applications. Must pass criminal record check. Ability to work with diverse groups including staff, students, local and State business and Government officials, and the general public. Ability to work with confidential information. Ability to handle multiple priorities, business documents, and forms. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Accurate data entry skills and good organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to provide excellent customer service and public relations skills and project a positive professional image. Ability to accurately reconcile outstanding balances.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full time position with a comprehensive benefits program including health, dental, vision, life, and LTD insurance; a Section 125 plan for medical and dependent care expense; holiday, personal, sick, and vacation leave; and a choice of retirement programs--IPERS (defined benefit) or TIAA (defined contribution). Anticipated work hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with flexible scheduling during peak student activity.
