JOB SUMMARY: This individual maintains and establishes new professional relationships with businesses and community organizations. Seeks to increase program development by matching business needs with innovative programming. Ensures integrity of data input into business software program, including but not limited to contracts, proposals and pricing, instructors, events, room rentals, etc. Coordinates training opportunities for businesses and assists with Training Plan development with businesses, able to identify gaps and offer solutions for 260E and 260F businesses. Identifies and explores new training topics/opportunities/instructors to offer business customers. Understands grant options for businesses thoroughly to be able to field current and prospective business questions. Distributes, collects class packets and pursues missing information as needed prior to submitting to Operations for invoicing, as needed. Assists in enforcement of grant contractual agreements, as needed. Works cooperatively with Academic Affairs and Business & Community Education to assist with events and communicating program offerings. Provides guidance for Business & Industry Product Development Specialist, as needed. Provides support and assistance for Business Development Manager, as needed. Active involvement with local organizations, presenting as requested and scheduling allows. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or Marketing with three years of directly related work experience or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Ability to project positive customer service and public relation skills to the public and private sector. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work with diverse groups. Demonstrated ability to participate in project teams and ability to initiate major parts of team based projects. Demonstrated experience as a team player striving for good internal and external customer relations. Ability to travel to and from work sites and meetings, day and evenings.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full time position opening with a comprehensive benefits program including health, dental, vision, life, and LTD insurance; a Section 125 plan for medical and dependent care expense; holiday, personal, sick, and vacation leave; and a choice of retirement programs--IPERS (defined benefit) or TIAA-CREF (defined contribution). Salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s education and experience.
