Join us in the Brock Student Center as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month!

The Meskwaki Settlement, near Tama, Iowa, is the nation's only Indian settlement. Each year, the Settlement hosts the traditional Annual Meskwaki Indian Pow-Wow, which is held on the second weekend of August on the Meskwaki Settlement near the city of Tama, IA. For several years, the Brown Otter Singers Song and Dance Group has been featured at that pow-wow, which includes a variety of traditional dance, drum, and song performances; traditional foods; historical displays; and crafts vendors.
