Mr. Williams works as a Violence Interrupter at CeaseFire in Chicago. Between 1989 and 2004, Williams spent three stints in prison for drug-related charges and attempted murder. Upon his final release from prison, Williams decided to turn his life around. He became involved with CeaseFire, where last December he was promoted to the position of National Trainer. Williams provides training and support to various communities throughout the U.S. Williams' work as a violence interrupter in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood is highlighted in the film The Interrupters.
