6-week Accelerated CDL Program

Looking to start a career in truck driving? Hawkeye's 6-week Accelerated Truck Driving program is designed for the adult who would like to train for a high-demand career in a short-term training format.

The program will focus on developing safe driving skills in backing, turning, and driving on rural and suburban roads.

Students will receive hands-on training using:

• full size semis
• virtual driving simulators
• Skid Monster driver enhancement program

Upon completion, students will take their DOT skills and driving tests to obtain their class A CDL.

Employment

Graduates can find employment in a variety of areas including:

• truck driver
• spotter
• shag driver
• freight agent

Starting wages range between $25,000-$40,000*

Iowa Workforce Development forecasts more than 1,400 job openings each year truck drivers (heavy and tractor trailer) through the year 2014.
