High School Completion and Language Learning Programs


Hawkeye offers free citizenship classes to individuals who have applied for U.S. citizenship or plan to apply in the next year. Classes are designed to help explain the naturalization process. Copies of the 100 questions that are asked on the citizenship test will be distributed in class.

When are citizenship classes offered?

Citizenship classes are offered for two days each month. You must plan to attend both days of class. If you would like, you may attend more than once.

Do I need to know English to take the citizenship classes?

Yes, you will need to be able to speak, read, and write in English to take the citizenship test. Learn about our English Language Learning courses.
