Bench Press Contest

On Wednesday, November 7 a bench press contest was held at the HESC. Male contestants lifted 100% of their body weight as many times as they could. There was a tie initially at 29 reps. Joshua Jarmarillo and John Even tied at 29. Even won the tiebreaker on Friday, November 16 by completing 30 repetitions of 180 pounds. Female contestants lifted 50% of their body weight. The winner, Taylor Theisen, completed 20 repetitions. Even and Theisen received $25 gift cards for their impressive efforts. |
