Hawkeye Community College trustee Joan Webster-Vore of Hudson donated a large number of masks to the college that she made with the help of several friends. Each mask includes three layers of fabric, with a wire nose bridge and elastic ear bands. Each mask is machine washable and made from 100% cotton.
Those who helped Mrs. Webster-Vore with the project were Cheryl Einsweiler, Jean Clausen, and Stacy Lee, Hudson; Kathleen Holst, Reinbeck; Denise Floy, Cedar Falls; and Jan Madson and Barb Hugi, Waterloo. The volunteers sewed, cut fabric, and donated materials.
