WATERLOO—The Hawkeye Community College Artist Series opens its 2013–2014 season in October with a slate of diverse entertainment. The season continues the tradition and excitement of past Hawkeye Artists Series. Each performance begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Tama Hall Auditorium on the college’s main campus, located at 1501 E. Orange Road in Waterloo. Free and convenient parking is available.

The first performance of the season begins on Thursday, October 10, with a musical-comedy. This entertaining performance features sizzling dance numbers, nostalgic ballads, and romantic comedy, all backed by live musicians. If you like Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, and Lena Horne, with a little extra modern flair and pizazz, then you’ll love “Embraceable You: The Music of George Gershwin.”
