Judy Mitchell, Reference Librarian, was awarded the prestigious President’s Award for Outstanding Service of a Full-Time Employee.
Mitchell teaches classes, assists students with research assignments, develops information guides, and provides service to students and community members.
She is described as smart, extremely helpful, knowledgeable, approachable, and an advocate for education.
One of her nominators states, "Judy is a true library icon. No matter the calling, she is the portrait of an individual who gives 100% to her position and is regarded as an asset to the college and those she serves."
"Judy understands the importance of seeing each student; literally and figuratively she brings them to existence. It is the common script that runs in during her say and is apparent in everything she touches and does," states another nominator.
"Her expertise and skills make her the librarian of choice for faculty member who request instruction for their classes. In this way she provides a great service to our students and directly contributes to their learning experience," adds another nominator."
