Iowa State University College of Business
Students seeking a BS degree from the College of Business may select from the following Majors and Programs:
- Business Economics
- International Business
- Management Information Systems (MIS)
- Supply Chain Management
Minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA on all college-level course work. Some programs may require a higher GPA.
Minimum 2.5 GPA for Pre-Professional Foundation courses or minimum 2.5 GPA at Iowa State University.
24 transferable semester hours of college credit OR meet all admission requirements of incoming freshman.
Complete the Pre-Professional Foundation courses plus 7 additional credits at Iowa State before acceptance to the College of Business.
Students enter the College of Business as a pre-business student, which is their status until they complete the requirements to declare a major.
If you are not yet sure what business major you wish to pursue, we encourage you to explore your options during your semesters in pre-business.

Transfer Course Equivalencies
We encourage students to work closely with their Hawkeye Advisor in Student Services and their Iowa State College advisor to plan the courses they need to take at Hawkeye to transfer to the major of their choice.

* Accounting, Finance, and Business Econ majors do not need MAT156. These majors will take STAT226 at Iowa State University.

Students completing Hawkeye's Associate of Arts degree following the specifications of Hawkeye will have met Iowa State's General Education requirements except the U.S. Diversity and International Perspectives courses. Students can complete this requirement at Hawkeye before transfer by completing one class from each list below.

Foreign Language Requirement
The College of Business does not have a foreign language requirement.
Some secondary majors, such as International Business, may require a foreign language. Please consult your advisor.
