Registering for Classes

Choose courses and register for the next semester!

Hawkeye Community College provides registration assistance and academic advising to help you choose the classes you should take. However, it is your responsibility to register for classes and fulfill the requirements of your program of study.

You are encouraged to register early for the best selection of courses and class times. Plan your course schedule carefully to keep changes to a minimum. Tuition, program length, and financial aid may be affected by course and/or section changes.

How Do I Register For Classes?

You are responsible for the tuition and fees for classes in which you have registered. You will not be withdrawn from school for nonpayment of tuition and/or non-attendance. See the tuition refund policy for more information.

Please select a category to learn how you register for classes.

• Guest Student: Students who wish to enroll part-time and are from another college or university wishing to take classes at Hawkeye in order to transfer back to their current college.

• New Student / New Program: New students who have applied at Hawkeye and have been accepted and current students with less than 12 credits in their current program of study.

• Current Hawkeye Student: Students who have completed 12+ credits in their current program of study and are enrolling in a consecutive fall, spring, or summer semester. If you have taken a semester or more off, you must apply for readmission.

• Current High School Student: Enroll in college credit courses while in high school.

• Late Registration: We encourage you to register for classes early for best selection, however, if the class you would like to register for has already started, you may still be able to register for the class.
