Study Abroad

Study abroad courses are offered for credit or non-credit, although most programs are for credit.  Students are encouraged to participate in these unique educational and cultural experiences, as they may enhance a student's employment opportunities. 

Hawkeye Community College is a member of the Iowa-Midwest Brazil Exchange in Business and Agriculture in consortium with the University of Northern Iowa and Kirkwood Community College. Through this consortium Hawkeye Community College was granted funds to provide language training and travel funds to study in Brazil at either the Universidade de Brasilia or the Universidade Federal de Goias.
