If teaching is in your future, Hawkeye has an education program for you!

Students in Hawkeye’s education programs get in the classroom gaining hands-on experience beginning on day one working with children in the Hawkeye Child Development Center and along side teachers in our local schools.

Liberal Arts - Education Emphasis Transfer Program

The Liberal Arts - AA Degree - Education K-12 Emphasis transfer program is designed for you to easily transfer to a four-year college and get your teacher's certificate to pursue a career as a PK-12 teacher, special education teacher, or as a teacher in a special needs setting.

Early Childhood Education Program

The Early Childhood Education program is a career program allowing you to work as an associate in a preschool or Head Start setting or run your own in home daycare helping children develop motor skills, language, and social skills in as little as two years!

Our Education Programs Are Flexible

Classes are:

• 8-week or 16-weeks
• offered during the day or evening
• instructor led, online, or hybrid

Evening Child Care Available

The Hawkeye Child Development Center has extended their hours into the evening on Tuesday and Thursday for students enrolled in the evening courses.
