Borrowing Materials

Reserving Library Materials

You may request that an item that is checked out be held for your use when it is returned to the Library. The online library catalog will indicate when an item is due to be returned.

The staff at the Circulation Desk will place an item on reserve (also called a hold) for you, or you can do it online using the following steps:

  1. Search the Library’s "Books & Videos" catalog.

  2. Click the title hyperlink of the item you are interested in.

  3. Click the “Request” button in the menu bar above the citation information.

  4. Enter the information requested and submit.

Additionally, reserves may be submitted online for items with an “available” status. “Available” items requested after 1:00pm may be picked up in the library after 9:00am the following day.

Course Reserve materials cannot be placed on hold.
