EducationAfter starting my education at Kirkwood Community College, I earned a BA in Communication Studies at the University of Northern Iowa, and later an MA in Communication/performance studies. I also earned a Master’s Certificate in Women and Gender Studies. Outside of my education, I have also worked in advertising and marketing. This provided me with valuable experience that we consistently use in the classroom. About MeHi! My name is Rachelle Biderman. When I was in 7th grade, I played the role of "Ma" in the play It's Cold in Them Thar Hills! by Le Roma Greth. I have been hooked on communication ever since. I was also able to master a cheesy southern accent and a slightly convincing cane walk. Whether it's on the stage, in the classroom, in the workplace, or even online, I am constantly amazed by the power of communication to connect human beings. That's what it's all about. As I've moved through life, the study of communication has continued to inspire me. Now, I get to explore this joy every day in the classroom.
